“At present, Iran is the fourth country producing science in the field of traditional medicine and medicinal plants,” Mohammad Reza Shams Ardakani said.

Noting that nearly 100 knowledge-based companies in the field of medicinal plants and traditional medicine have succeeded in obtaining knowledge-based approval, he said, “Five medicinal plant refineries are due to be set up in Kashan, Kashmar, Mashhad and Khuzestan province with the support of the Iranian Vice- Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.”
