“These chargers are produced in two different models; the first is the wall-mounted model that can be installed and used in the parking lot of houses; and the other is the portable model that is carried with the vehicle and can charge the car wherever there is single-phase and three-phase electricity; these chargers are considered as medium speed type,” Jameenejad, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

“The price of these chargers varies depending on the number of orders, and the price of domestic samples is definitely lower than foreign products and can compete with them in terms of quality,” he added.

“We also intend to export these chargers to other countries, and we are interacting and taking initial steps to realize this goal,” Jameenejad said.

In a relevant development in April, a group of engineers from another knowledge-based company in Iran stationed at the Science and Technology Park of University of Tehran had managed to design and build a hybrid car charging station.

“We made this station in the form of hybrid in Iran. It is capable of charging electric cars with both solar energy and municipal electricity,” said Mehdi Ayati, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

He added that one of the advantages of these types of stations is shortening the charging time of electric cars.

Ayati noted that the product does not have a foreign counterpart, saying, “We can take orders from foreign states to export the stations.”

Different hybrid, electric, and solar car prototypes designed and manufactured by researchers at the Islamic Azad University, Qazvin branch, were displayed at Asreh Omid Event, which was held in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla in late May 2022.
