“We have been working on optimizing water consumption for the past 16 years and we were able to register 12 inventions with the approval of the Ministry of Energy. Four of enventions have so far been commercialized and mass produced,” said Mohammad Hossein Dehghan Dehnavi, the managing director of a knowledge-based company and one of the country's top entrepreneurs., in an interview with ANA .

He said that producing faucets is one of the big achievements of his company, adding, “by using these water dispenser faucets, which can replace the old faucets, there wiil be no need for single-used cups to drink water with, and it is enough to take a small disposable plastic straw from a box next to the water dispenser and place it in the hole made inside the water faucet. Simply by pressing the reed valve and placing the straw in the mouth, water is drunk through it at the desired amount in accordance with the pre-exercised pressure. When we are done, we need to place the reed valve (hose) opposite the straw discharge box so that the straw is thrown into the discharge can.”

“We have also produced pedal faucets that can be installed on the bathroom,” said Dehnavi, adding the air conditioner shade is another product of their company, which, as he said, is produced in line with the optimizing water consumption goal of the of company.

He added that shade for air conditioner are widely used in the country.

Dehghan further said that their business has created jobs for as many as 30 people now, stressing that the figure could increase to 200 in the future.

“These products are very useful especially in underdeveloped areas where there is no drinking water. They can reduce water consumption by 50% to 60%,” he further asserted.
