Antibacterial Stone Adhesive Produced in Iran by Using Nanotechnology
‘Idehsazan Va Fanavaran Javan Sanat’ company made the antibacterial stone adhesive for gluing the decorative stones used in buildings.
It can effectively prevent the accumulation and growth of bacteria along with the strong adhesion properties and is highly resistant to temperature variations, cracking, and severe contraction and expansion.
The inclusion of nanoparticles in the polymeric matrix has led to hydrophobic features, antibacterial properties and high mechanical strength in the product.
The adhesive can be used for gluing woods, stones, carpet, glass and paper and bonding stone parts in houses, offices and health care centers.
Also, in April, an Iranian industrial company produced toilet bowels by using nanotechnology that controls or prevents the growth of harmful bacteria, fungi, and mold on the surface of the toilet seat.
The antibacterial surface of the toilet seat ensures lasting cleanliness, while the seat itself can be removed for cleaning in no time at all.
The spread of fungal infections, skin allergies, and infectious and microbial diseases are among the most common consequences of contracting bacteria in public places.
In this regard, the company embarked on producing ceramic sanitary ware products with antibacterial properties, containing nanoparticles.
These nanoparticles have photocatalytic and photooxidation properties in contact with biological and chemical components.
