Sadra Sepehri, the managing director of the knowledge-based firm told Iranian media that he founded his company in 2019 with 5 laser-related knowledge, photonics and electronics experts but now their business has created jobs for 120 people in two-year period of time.

He added that the company has now managed to acquire a sizeable share of the market for the device in the country.

“The devices designed in this company succeeded in obtaining the necessary certificates from Food and Drug Organization of Iran which is run under the health ministry, industry ministry and a knowledge-based degree from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy,” he continued.

Sepehri pointed out that the company has mainly focused on production of skin lasers, hair restoration and beauty therapy, adding that the company's laser devices are used in healing and curing of wounds, removal of congenital blotches and also reduction in the appearance of scars that remain after wounds.

The managing director went on to stress that every equipment should be produced based on the local characteristics a region and its people, adding, “People in other countries have different hair color and lighter skin, so their devices and equipment do not match well with the skin color other characteristics of Iranians. Therefore, after examining the Iranians climatic and racial differences, we designed locally-made laser devices and were able to acquire a good shared of the market for our products in the country.”

He named the technology used in this device as diode laser.

A diode laser uses semiconductor technology that produces coherent projection of light in the visible to infrared range. It uses a light beam with a narrow spectrum to target specific chromophores in the skin.

He also noted that “this device has cool and protective and high safety systems, so that during the treatment, it does not cause any side effects".

“The laser device went under clinical tests for a year in the Shahid Beheshti research laboratory, and based on the results, we received the final permits for its commercialization,” the researcher also pointed out.

Sepehri further pointed out that their product is more reasonably priced that the foreign-imported products.
