Iranian Company Develops Identification Scanning System
“This company is active in the field of artificial intelligence and ID scanning systems,” Elahe Mohammadzadeh, the managing director of a knowledge-based company called ‘Ertebat Modern Sorena’ told ANA while participating at the Asr-e Omid Sirjan exhibition.
“In the identification system, we focus on the thermal pits of the body in a way that people are recognized even if they have some damages on their face or they have partial cover on their face. We have also entered identification area through the iris of the eye; but it is very hard to copy and we have challenges to enter it legally,” she also said.
According to the researcher, the ID scanning system is really useful in organizations and institutions to which not everyone is allowed to enter including airports, highly sensitive government buildings where only the authorized entry of people is checked so that problems such as bombings or thefts do not occur.
Mohammadzadeh further said that their scanning system has not domestic and foreign-made equivalents, explaining that their device is even more advanced than the binoculars as the later is not as advanced as the Iran-made device because it can not produce reports by the intelligent software.
The Sorena director added that their firm is based in Islamic Azad University, Ahvaz branch, saying, “Only a few articles have been presented in the world about ID system based on thermal vectors. We reviewed those articles and started working practically and moved towards industrialization.”
Mohammadzadeh emphasized that the system has other advantaged, including sending a swift warning about fire danger even if the fire is small.
“Petrochemical fims, especially in the Southern regions of the country, can prevent fires with this localized product and save themselves from huge financial losses,” she continued.
Asr-e Omid (Age of Hope) exhibition was held on the campus of Islamic Azad University-Sirjan branch in the city of Sirjan located in the Southeastern Kerman Province on May 22-June 1, 2023.
