Knowledge-Based Company Meets 10% of Iran’s Power Industry's Overall Need for Protective Relays
Mostafa Owji, the managing director of the knowledge-based company “Mehvarazmay-e Fars” said that the manufacturing unit was created with the aim of designing and producing electrical and electronic engineering equipment and has taken an effective step towards the country's self-sufficiency in electricity industry.
He added that their company is one of the leading manufacturers of all types of protection relays, test blocks and alarm systems.
He also said through the efforts of its researchers, the company has successfully produced advanced protection relays for the power grid, and so far more than 4,000 devices of all different types of protection relays have been installed by the company in the country's power grid.
“The company's products have been evaluated by the laboratory of electricity and energy industries and the protection and control unit of Iran’s Power Generation and Distribution Company (Tavanir) based on which our products' performance has been approved,” he added.
Owji said that his company's protective relays matters a lot in protecting the power grid and equipment installed in high voltage substations during power outages, and named the regional power companies, switchboard manufacturers, and substation manufacturers as potential customers of their product.
“In addition to the much lower price of the product compared to foreign equivalents, its support and troubleshooting services are among the competitive advantages of the domestically-produced product,” Owji also said.
