Iranian Experts Design Prototype Model of Recreational-Medical Mattress with Water
“We seek to provide the right conditions for an ideal sleep for the consumer by using the specifications of water and controlling the temperature and flow of water and remove the fatigue from the user’s body after the daily work,” Maryam Pakzad, the designer of the special mattress and the managing director of ‘Tarrahan Mobtaker Nozohour’ company at the Technological Units Department of the Islamic Azad University’s Bandar Anzali branch, told ANA.
She added that the most important goals of the project include using water instead of cotton and sponge or spring in the main structure of the mattress to create a wonderful and interesting bed for a dreamy sleep experience, using a cooling system with a gas refrigeration system to gradually reduce the temperature of the water inside the mattress for therapeutic fever-reducing mode and sleep temperature adjustment in hot nights (spring and summer), using electric heating system (heater element) and gradually using the reverse mode of the water gas cooling system inside the mattress for sauna exercise mode and cold treatment and sleep temperature adjustment in cold nights (autumn and winter), using wave movement with water pressure on the surface of the mattress for massage and relieving fatigue from daily work, using a wave massager to prevent bedsores for bedridden patients and controlling the sleeping temperature with no need to chiller or heater during sleep.
“The mattress is used to reduce the fatigue caused by daily work and facilitate blood circulation during sleep; on the other hand, it is a suitable option for experiencing a dreamy and recreational sleep,” Pakzad said.
“This mattress is also proper for bedridden patients and prevents bedsores and muscle stiffness with a pressure wave massage system,” she added.
