Iranian Company Makes Smart CCTV with Face-Recognition Capability
“The smart anti-theft camera informs the owner or residents online about the occurrence of a crime and prevents robbery by the thief,” Mohammad Zolfaqari, the manager of ‘Dadeh Abzar Sepand Hirkan’ company at the Growth Center of Technological Units of the Islamic Azad University’s Azadshahr branch, told ANA.
He added that the camera detects the faces of people within its range, noting that the owner or owners are alerted if there is a discrepancy with the faces of the authorized people on the scene.
“We hope that people will be informed rapidly about any possible robbery and their properties will be protected with the help of this product,” Zolfaqari said.
Smart CCTV enables remote monitoring of a home or property, connecting to a device such as a smartphone or tablet even when away from the premises.
