“Currently, there are more than 180,000 hospital beds in the country, and 7-10% of new beds are usually added every year. As many as 5% of these beds are updated. The country's health system needs about 20,000 beds every year,” said Hamid Razavi Rad, the managing director of Iranian technological company

“Smart nurse summoning system is a necessity for each bed at hospitals throughout the country,” he added.

“One of the products that plays a big role in the sales of nurse summoning systems is Gooya call system. After conducting research on similar products available in the market and identifying their weaknesses and shortcomings, we were able to resolve those problems in our company’s products. By making the system smart, we could enhance our system’s capabilities,” he said, adding, “We increased the warranty of this new version of our product from one year to five years.”

Razavi Rad further said that they seriously took into account things like quality, durability, ease of use and installation in the design and production of the product so that the product does not need after-sales service as much as possible.

“Our main target market is the newly established hospitals in our country, which add about 8,000 to 10,000 beds to the country's capacity each year. Our next target market is the neighboring countries,” he went on to say while talking about rendering better sevices to people.

He pointed to smart troubleshooting and easy user interface, capability of becoming IP-based of its equipment, insensitivity in the type of cabling between equipment, lower price than other similar products due to the use of a basic body for different models as some of the competitive advantages of their systems compared to the other similar products available in the market.

The researcher further said that they received funds from Mashhad-based Samen Health Research and Technology Fund to develop their ideas in to the system.

Hamidreza Farhadi, CEO of Samen Health Research and Technology Fund, said for his part, “This company is one of the manufacturing companies based in Razavi Khorasan province and is specialized in hospital intercoms such as nurse call system and emergency code announcement system.”

Farhadi continued that the smart nurse summoning system produced in the technological company is available for most hospitals in the Eastern and Northeastern parts of the country where the company is located.

"The products of the company could also meet the needs of Iran's Eastern neighbours such as Afghanistan and Turkmenistan," he added.
