Iranian Researcher Discovers Fully Herbal Medicine for Diabetes
Alireza Motavallizadeh, associate professor of chemistry at the Islamic Azad University, Neishabur branch, said in an interview with ANA that he as the head of a research team at the mentioned university has developed an herbal medicine to treat diabetes.
”This completely herbal product has been developed and prepared for use at the Chemistry, Biochemistry and Nanomaterials Research Center after conducting extensive studies and research, and now the prototype has been made and the process of obtaining its health license is underway,” he added.
“This drug, which is called ‘glocsinazide’ and has successfully passed its clinical effectiveness test, will be used to treat diabetes. This product is completely herbal and has been prepared from the extracts of more than 20 plants in the chemical laboratory of the Islamic Azad University- Neishabur branch and the research Center for Chemistry, Biochemistry and Nanomaterials in cooperation with Armin Gostar Rezvan pharmaceutical company,” Motavallizadeh went on to say.
“Given the naming of this year in the Iranian calendar as the year of support for knowledge-based companies and in line with the policies and procedures of the Islamic Azad University to support the formation of technological cores and the production of knowledge-based products, Neishabur IAU university pays special attention to strengthening and supporting the growth core located at the university,” said the IAU chemistry professor, adding that technological cores are now producing and presenting various products to the market.
