University of Tehran Wins Second Place in 13th Int’l Micro Air Vehicle Competitions
The University of Tehran’s team, under the guidance of the International Aras Campus and the Research Institute of Applied Intelligent Systems of the University of Tehran, and the support of the Customs Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology of Iran, participated in the competition and won the runner-up position.
21 teams from 13 countries participated in this round of competitions held this year in the Netherlands on September 10-15.
The annual international competition is the most important event that brings together scientists, technologists and people interested in the research and development of micro-air vehicle technology.
The organizers and sponsors of the competition are the giant industrial developers of this area in the world.
Also, on the sidelines of these competitions, University of Tehran’s membership in these competitions was studied and initially approved by the founders.
The IMAV conference focuses on all scientific studies related to Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs), ranging from aerodynamics and design of small drones to their control and artificial intelligence. The conference is always combined with real-world competitions that are aimed at bringing theory into practice and advancing the state of the art.
