Iran among Rare Countries Capable of Producing Various Drones Locally
"Iran is among the top powers in the region in the field of manufacturing advanced UAVs and this ability is increasing day by day," Commander of the Iranian Army Air Force Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi said.
"Iran has reached 100% self-sufficiency in the field of producing UAV and will continue its path in this field vigorously," the commander added.
Brigadier General Vahedi further said that Iranian Air Force has achieved salient progress in the field of manufacturing two sophisticated drones named "Kaman 12" and "Kaman 22".
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made substantial headway in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the weaponry sphere.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that the country will not hesitate to boost its military capabilities, including its missile and drone power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will never be subject to negotiation.
