170 Knowledge-Based Firms Present Products in Oil, Gas, Petchem Expo in Southern Iran

TEHRAN (ANA)- The 14th edition of the South Pars Oil, Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical Exhibition (SPPEX 2023) was held in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in Assalouyeh with participation of over 170 Iranian knowledge-based companies and several foreign firms.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by several provincial officials, including Abolhassan Razminia, the head of the Persian Gulf Science and Technology Park.

Over 170 companies active in upstream and downstream oil and gas industries, along with representatives of a number of foreign firms and manufacturers of industrial equipment took part in the four-day event which was wrapped up on February 1.

Razminia said that the event was an opportunity to introduce the capacity of domestic companies in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

The Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) was established in Bushehr Province in 1998 for utilization of South Pars oil and gas resources and encourage commercial activities in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries in Southern Iran.

Iran’s biggest energy hub, Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ), has managed to attract 70 trillion rials (about $270.1 million) as well as €500 million of investment in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20) to register a 46 percent growth, year on year.

According to Khosro Afrouzeh, the director of economic development and investment attraction of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization, the organization has been following new strategies to optimize investment processes with the aim of facilitating the investment environment and creating a smooth path for small investors and focusing on key customers.
