Iravani: Weapons Used Against Iran Originated from Certain Persian Gulf States’ Arsenals
Iran’s UN envoy Amir Saeid Iravani has accused certain Persian Gulf states of being linked to the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, citing physical evidence recovered from multiple Iranian cities. He said the findings indicate that weapons used in the attacks originated from arsenals associated with those states.
In a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council president, Iravani rejected claims circulated by Bahrain and other regional states, describing them as “unfounded and misleading.” He argued that Iran was the victim of an unlawful armed attack and that responsibility for the escalation lies with the US and Israel.
He further alleged that the territories and airspace of some Persian Gulf states were used to facilitate military operations against Iran, including planning, arming, and execution of attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure.
Iravani said such actions amount to “acts of aggression” under international law and added that the states involved bear international responsibility, including obligations for reparations. He urged the UN Security Council to address what he described as the root causes of instability in the region, rather than “false allegations” against Iran.
