Araghchi, who arrived in Geneva Sunday night, is leading a high-level diplomatic and technical delegation for the second round of indirect talks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. Earlier this month, the first round took place in Muscat, Oman, where the Gulf state also continues to serve as an intermediary.

In a post on X, Araghchi noted that he will meet Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, for detailed technical discussions alongside Iran’s nuclear experts. He is also scheduled to meet Badr al-Busaidi ahead of diplomacy with the US on Tuesday.

During his visit, Araghchi is expected to meet his Swiss counterpart and other international officials. Additionally, he will address the United Nations Conference on Disarmament, highlighting Iran’s commitment to pursuing nuclear energy within a framework of technical cooperation and fairness, while rejecting coercive pressure.

This second round in Geneva underscores Tehran’s insistence on balancing technical negotiations with diplomatic engagement, aiming to secure an agreement acceptable to all parties without compromising national interests.
