Iranian Scientists Indigenize Optical Guidance System for Rapid Data Analysis
Hossein Hemmati, a member of the operational performance improvement team of the knowledge-based company, announced the use of an advanced optical guidance system (Put/Pick-to-Light) in the order processing process, which is designed to optimize logistics processes and reduce dependence on external samples.
“Using optical guidance technology, the new system automatically lights up the product's destination cells so that the operator can place the product in the correct place in the shortest possible time. The core of this system is an artificial intelligence algorithm that determines the optimal location of each product by analyzing data and communicates with the central system via API to indicate the desired location with light,” he added.
“The technology has increased the speed of operators by 20% and reduced search time by up to 50%. The light-guided system is the result of several technical development cycles at the hardware, software and system architecture levels, and by relying on industrial communication technologies and real-time processing, it redefines global productivity standards in a completely native format,” Hemmati noted.
In a relevant development in 2024, experts at an Iranian knowledge-based company had also domestically produced a PLC (Power Line Carrier) device for the electricity industry in the country.
Amir Hossein Rasekh, the managing director of the Iranian knowledge-based company, told ANA correspondent in an interview that, the PLC device or power line carrier is a device that sends telecommunication signals from one substation or power station through high voltage lines and receives them at another substation or power station.
The PLC is the act of carrying data on a conductor that is also used simultaneously for AC electric power transmission or electric power distribution to consumers. The line that does so is known as a power-line carrier.
“We are the only manufacturer of PLC devices in the country and we have received all necessary approvals for this product. This device has been produced in the world for several years and we have been able to locally produce it with the help of the company's experts,” he said.
“The internal materials of this device are basic electronic parts that we import from overseas and assemble these parts inside the country and carry out the installation and operationalizing process,” Rasekh went on to say.
