Forty Percent of Iran’s Gasoline Consumed in 5 Provinces

TEHRAN (ANA)- National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) has announced that 40 percent of the country’s gasoline is consumed in five provinces of  Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Fars, Isfahan and Kerman.

According to NIOPDC, during the three-month summer period, these provinces had the highest consumption rates, with Tehran using 1.884 billion liters, Khorasan Razavi 869.5 million liters, Fars 857 million liters, Isfahan 817 million liters and Kerman 586.4 million liters, the oil ministry’s news website reported.

National gasoline consumption reached 12.5 billion liters this summer. More than 5 billion liters were distributed in these five top-consuming provinces, representing approximately 40% of the country's total. Tehran Province alone accounted for about 15% of the national total, consuming over 1.884 billion liters, placing it first. Khorasan Razavi was the second-largest consumer with 869.5 million liters.

The country's average daily gasoline consumption this summer was 134.3 million liters. This represents an increase of approximately 5 million liters per day compared to the same period last year (, which had an average of 129.4 million liters. The highest single-day consumption record was set on Sept. 13, 2025, with 154.7 million liters consumed.
