Official: Iran Should Prioritize Building Small, Medium-Sized Vessels

TEHRAN (ANA)- The secretary of Iran’s National Maritime Economy Development Program underlined that the growth path of Iran’s shipbuilding industry passes through small ships, not ocean-going vessels, noting that the domestic market, with a demand of 10,000 small engines in a decade, forms the country’s biggest industrial opportunity, and the development of electric and energy-efficient vessels should be prioritized.
