Iranian Researcher Produces Educational Podcasts for Blind People
Shabnam Alipour, the managing director of Avaye Kiasan Company, which operates in the growth center of Hormozgan Islamic Azad University told ANA in an interview on the sidelines of the Asreh Omid Event , “In this company, which is a technological and creative center, we produce specialized content for high-tech or advanced industries, companies and startups. This company has been working since March 2019, when registration was done. Currently, we have settled in the growth center of Hormozgan branch of Azad University in Bandar Abbas city. In fact, it can be said that we are a startup that produces specialized content for startups and hi-tech industries.”
“One of the advantages of our company is that we produce content in five major languages. Also, in our company, we use specialized and professional people with high skills and techniques to produce podcasts. The production of podcasts is currently done in the most modern way and provides information to users in the fastest time,” Alipour added.
Saying that their podcasts are used to develop businesses, the Islamic Azad University researcher added, “Our goal in this company is to produce professional content on the subject, so that people can explain their content production in the language of the contracting party or customer, and also develop their business in a broad way.”
The managing director of Avaye Kiasan Company also said, “The podcasts also help the blind and facilitate the work of people who cannot read and write. It also provides the ability to publish in offline, online and "QR Code" editions or quick responses code for users, and people can access these podcasts by scanning them offline.”
She went on to talk about the good points about their podcasts and said, “Another advantage of podcasts is that they last forever. Podcasts are not banners or paper that can be torn. There are no such problems with podcasts, and the number is infinite. In other words, people can use these podcasts without user restrictions. In fact, startups do not have a media to produce their specialized content, and in this regard, there were advertising companies whose activities hugely rely on posters and banners. We at Kiasan Company have done this activity in the shortest possible time with the most information and in five languages , including English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Farsi. We are actually considered a media for startups.”
“We started our activity with producing the podcasts in two languages and but later we developed it to three languages and finally five languages and our company has the ability to produce content in accordance with the users’ needs,” the managing director of Avaye Kiasan Company continued.
As regard the reason for taking part at the Asreh Omid Event, Alipour said, “The national event should help companies to develop business and generate income. This event can lay the ground for companies and startups to reach their goals sooner they have planned, and attracting international investors can help improve the activities of companies such as Kiasan. I am very hopeful that this national event will speed up the businesses development.”
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
