Iran-Made Fast Autoclave Device Sterilizes Medical Equipment in 15 Minutes
“Our company's newest product is the fast autoclave, which is capable of performing the sterilization process in about 15 minutes,” said Meysam Kaheh, the sales expert of the knowledge-based company.
“In terms of quality, the experience of users in hospitals shows that our device is comparable in performance to foreign models. Of course, due to the difference in raw materials, such as those used in Italian-made devices, the price of our Iranian product is much lower and is economical,” he added.
“At present, our autoclave device is installed and used in most hospitals of Iran and we have so far exported to Armenia, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq,” Kaheh said.
Iranian Vice-President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy Hossein Afshin announced in June that Tehran exports home-made medical equipment to 60 countries of the world.
Afshin made the remarks, addressing the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical and Laboratory Equipment (Iran Health 2025) held in Tehran on June 8-10.
He noted that it is an honor that the Iranian manufacturers are collaborating with Iran's skilled community of medical experts, adding any industry lacking innovation and cutting-edge technology will gradually be removed from competition.
Stressing the export potential of Iran-made medical equipment, Afshin said if a product can meet domestic consumption standards, it can certainly be exported to other countries.
Referring to supportive plans for promoting innovation in medical equipment, he said, “This year, we have two special initiatives to strengthen the link between R&D and the medical equipment sector.”
