Iranian Company Combines Nanotechnology with Smart Heating in Textiles, Cars
In this technology, nano-inks act as the raw material for printing on fabric or flexible surfaces, enabling the production of flexible electronic circuits, sensors, RFIDs, and heaters without the need for wiring or bulky parts.
The heaters produced by the company, using conductive nanoparticles, are able to provide uniform heat in less than a minute, and their temperature can be adjusted at three different levels. The structure of these products is designed to be free of hot spots, and is hypoallergenic and long-lasting.
This technological approach is not limited to consumer products. By developing a nano-ink-based electronic printing device, the company has enabled research, development, and industrial production in the field of printed electronics in the country. By indigenizing this technology, it has taken an effective step in reducing dependence and developing domestic production.
In a relevant development in 2023, specialists at an Iranian company had also utilized ceramic nanoparticles to manufacture a radiant heater with minimized CO emission.
‘Beh Faravaran Novin Aria Sarmad’ company has made the radiant heater in which a metallic catalyst-containing layer is deposited on ceramic nanofibers. The surface temperature of the product can reach 500 oC and can offer low oxygen consumption and minimized CO and NOx emission.
Applying a nanometric catalytic layer on the fiber has resulted in more efficient combustion.
The radiant heater can be used for drying the insulating paint applied on cables and wires, thermo-forming (deformation by heating), drying the painted glass, preheating the textile products, oil and gas industries (heating hoses in the petrochemical complex), heating the industrial environments, drying the printing ink and environments with flammable gas.
