Optical Methods to Determine Composition of Blood
“Our product measures blood parameters optically and has no parallel rivals because it is only available in a very limited way in some European and American countries and has not been commercialized. Our product has the ability to reach the commercialization level after receiving clinical standards,” Hojjat Doostdar, the managing director of Mehrgast Company, which operates with the support of Islamic Azad University, Mashhad branch told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of the Asreh Omid Event.
“The total cost of the product is about 20 to 30 million rials (Iranian currency). Our goal in attending this event is not to attract financial support, but we want Islamic Azad University to be a facilitator to shorten the path of obtaining standards, licenses and other things for the company, because the prolongation of this process causes discouragement, abandonment of projects and even in some cases selling the idea to other countries. However, we have tried with all our might to achieve this product and we expect them to pave the way for commercialization with the necessary support,” Doostdar said.
In relation to his assessment of the opportunity that Islamic Azad University has created for companies, the managing director of Mehrgast Company said, “I have been taken part at all events and exhibitions for the past 9 years, but the desired results have not been achieved. Let's see the fruition of our many years of efforts.”
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
