Iran Enjoys One of Largest Fuel-Transfering Fleets in Region

The report added that the company's road fleet, if lined up, would stretch about 176 kilometers.
In 1403, the company significantly upgraded its fleet, adding over 2,500 road tankers and about 500 rail tankers. A modernization plan was also launched to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption, targeting 3,000 vehicles. These measures have boosted daily fuel transport capacity, enhanced supply to remote areas and cut operational costs. Modernization also improves road safety, reduces vehicle wear and lowers environmental pollution, benefiting urban air quality.
Ali-Akbar Arab-Ameri, the company's supply and distribution manager, said efforts in recent years have focused on expanding and improving the road and rail tanker fleet. "Our responsibility includes transporting fuel nationwide, covering both power plant and non-power plant shipments via road, rail, ships and pipelines," he said.
NIOPDC was established in 1928 which has been responsible for the oil products’ supply and distribution over 80 years.
The NIOPDC with more than 8700 official staff and about 10 thousand unofficial staff and below facilities and infrastructure is responsible to provide management and oversight of the daily distribution of millions liters of petroleum products in the country.
