Iran Self-Sufficient in Manufacturing Defense Hardware, Ready for Export
"Iran, in terms of defense hardware, depends on no country and has achieved a degree of growth that it can even exchange knowledge with and export Iranian-made equipment to other countries," Commander of the Iranian Army Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard said at a meeting with a group of foreign military attachés to Tehran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran constantly seeks lasting peace and friendship in the region and the entire world," the commander underscored.
The top commander added Iran's Air Defense Force has managed to overcome all the sanctions and restrictions imposed on the country and turn into an exemplary power in the region through reliance on domestic know-how, innovation and a committed workforce.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made substantial headway in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the weaponry sphere.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that the country will not hesitate to boost its military capabilities, including its missile and drone power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will never be subject to negotiation.
