Iran to Connect All Remaining Villages to Broadband Network

“100% coverage of villages with over 20 households based on the two principles of legal obligation and achieving communication justice is among the priorities of the Ministry of Communications in the 14th government,” said Nik Mohammad Balouch Zehi.
He added that there are a total of 39,645 villages with more than 20 households in the country, noting that nearly 10,000 villages still do not have a high-speed communication network.
“By the end of the Seventh Development Plan, all remaining villages will definitely be connected to the broadband network,” Balouch Zehi said.
Former Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology had announced in 2022 that the country would export various products based on unprecedented efforts made by the knowledge-based companies.
"Productions of the country's knowledge-based companies have been exported to many countries including the European ones," Issa Zare'pour said while paying an official visit to communication infrastructures in the Northern part of the country.
"Iran's communication products will soon hit the foreign country's markets because of their high quality and the reality that Iran is a pioneer nation in various fields of information technology," the minister announced.
He further said that Iran is among 10 top countries in space sciences, adding, "Iran is excellent worldwide in manufacturing, launching and operating satellites".
"We have witnessed the country's development in the last 44 years regardless of the entire sanctions and pressures imposed on Iran but the enemies are trying hard to pretend our achievements as inefficient and frustrating," Zare'pour said while calling on all walks of the life in Iran to be vigilant about the enemies' plots.
