Khazrayee said that, thanks to the efforts of the company’s employees, there have been no interruptions in stable gas transmission, and a daily record of 876 million cubic meters of gas was set on January 13 this year.

He added that the company currently operates 10 regions, and with the upcoming launch of a new region in Zahedan, Sistan and Balouchestan province, the number of operational regions will increase to 11.

Khazrayee underlined the readiness of all stations and high-pressure pipelines for gas transmission and network stability.

He mentioned that, in the near future, the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, in collaboration with technology-based companies, will enhance the localization of equipment, major turbine fleet repairs, and the overall management and stability of the network.

In a relevant development in December, Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that the country’s annual natural gas production has increased to 275 billion cubic meters.

Paknejad made the remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of the 26th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Tehran.

He underlined the importance of the forum as a leading international event in the global gas industry.

“This meeting is a good opportunity for exchange of views among the member and observer countries of the forum, as well as experts and specialists in the gas industry so that the bright horizons of cooperation can be shared and strengthened even more than before,” the minister said.

Paknejad added that natural gas now constitutes over 70% of Iran’s energy consumption mix.
