Iranian Researchers Rendering Gas Turbine Repair Services to Ukraine
Mehdi Ahmadian, the managing director of an Iranian knowledge-based firm attached great importance to the gas turbine repair services, saying, “Gas turbines are used in electricity, oil, gas and petrochemical industries whose repair services in the country has resulted in savings 10 billion tomans (Iranian currency) in each case of repair.”
According to the news service of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Ahmadian pointed out that in addition to being able to repair domestic gas turbines, this company has also moved towards repairing foreign models.
He pointed to their repairing of an imported gas turbine from Ukraine, explaining “It was repaired and after sending it to Ukraine, the quality of the repair was also confirmed.”
Damage to the turbine, compressor, and combustion systems in addition to pollution accumulation, fouling, corrosion, sulphidation of blades and other hot air parts, accumulation of sludge and varnish caused by oil oxidation, water emulsion in turbine oil, plugging and damages caused by fuel, turbine nozzles, broken blades and vanes are among the reasons for repairing gas turbines.
