“A team of researchers in Langroud City has already been working on the design and construction of a home tea factory and now in cooperation with this team, we are designing and industrially manufacturing home textile production machines to produce locally produced fabric ‘Chadorshab Gilani’ in the Northern province of Gilan,” Amin Atfi, a professor of the Islamic Azad University, Langroud Branch, told ANA while participating at the Islamic Azad University’s Asreh Omid Event.

Atfi said that every region in Iran has its own fabric production industry and in Gilan province Chadorshab is made with different kinds of raw materials.

He added that locally producing the textile in Gialn was dying out because the industry takes a lot of manpower, space and cost.

“That’s why we decided to industrialize the tedious part of the job by designing a machine to woven the fabric at a low cost,” the Langroud IAU professor said.

He said weaving the Chadorshab requires a lot of manpower and a big and dry space which is rare in Gilan province, while their device does not need a lot of man power and could operate in small spaces.

Atfi said about the Asreh Omid exhibition that the event could help the talented people to reach solutions for their problems with the help of other participants’ ideas.

The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
