Uzbekistan's GDP Grows 6.5 Percent in 2024

"As a result of the country's policy of openness and active capital attraction, the economy continues to grow steadily," local media cited the press service of the Uzbek President.

"In particular, in 2024, the gross domestic product increased by 6.5 percent, reaching 115 billion U.S. dollars," it noted.

According to the press service, a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday, the main tasks on investments and exports for the current year were defined. The president emphasized that increasing the efficiency of investments should become the main task of regional and industry leaders.

Uzbekistan's GDP in 2023 exceeded 100 billion dollars for the first time in history.
