Iranian Company Produces Multi-Purpose Smart Power Outlets
“This product can connect to the internet, be controlled via cellphone, and execute the defined programming,” Mohammad Javad Khosravinejad, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
Noting that in addition to its beautiful appearance and touch screen, multi-purpose smart outlets can connect to security sensors, he said, “Another feature of these outlets is the ability to replace them with traditional outlets that are appropriate for the size of Iranian electrical boxes.”
“Instead of placing different keys in an environment to use the cooling and heating system, lighting, and electric curtains, we use a single outlet with central control,” Khosravinejad said.
“This product is used in residential, office, and commercial environments, and since a thermostat is used in this switch, it can also be effective in optimizing and reducing energy consumption in cooling and heating,” he added.
In a relevant development in 2022, a type of safe and convenient portable electrical outlet developed by an Iranian academic was unveiled.
The product is the first model of a simple converter with full compliance with safety standards, while being simple, it has many uses, Afshin Kadri told ANA.
There are lamps and screws everywhere. But an outlet is not available in all places, so this converter can be installed and used for temporary use and meeting the need, he explained.
Kadri who is a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University, Bandar Gaz branch, added that the product is a prototype, and plans are underway for upgrading its capabilities so a more complete product will be offered in the future.
