Iran Doubles Manufacturing of Home Appliances
Manufacturing of home appliances in the country has increased from 8 million units to over 16 million units in the past few years, Alireza Mohammadi Daniali, a member of the Association of Home Appliances Manufacturers in Iran said, addressing a meeting with members of associations active in Industry, Mining and Trade fields.
He stated that this rise in production has happened with the support of Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
Mohammadi Daniali added that Iranian home appliance manufacturers have seen their output for main devices surge by up to 100 percent over past few years.
Over the past few years, the Iranian government has been following a new strategy for supporting domestic production to neutralize the impacts of the US sanctions while reducing the reliance of the economy on oil revenues.
The home appliances sector has been one of the pioneers in this regard and like many other areas, the production of home appliances has witnessed a significant rise in the past four years.
