Aluminum Body of Electric Bikes Produced in Iran by Sharif University Specialists
‘Kahroba Machine Parsian’ industrial group as one of the companies stationed in the Science and Technology Park of Sharif University of Technology is active in production of electric bikes. The group is currently the largest producer of electric bicycles in Iran and presents products to the market under the ‘EvTech’ brand.
The knowledge-based company, founded by the graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Sharif University of Technology, has been able to indigenize the design know-how of key parts of electric bicycles and motorcycles, including the battery, engine controller, battery management system (BMS) and engine, and mass-produced them.
“One of the key specifications of the electric bicycle’s body is installation of the bicycle’s battery inside the body. In addition to improving the appearance of the bicycle, the design provides more security for the battery pack against strikes. Also, the body produced by EvTech has been manufactured with the best electric parts of the company to result in a special appearance and an enjoyable ride. The produced model enjoys a 500 watt engine and is capable of reaching the maximum speed of 35 km/h and travel 40 km,” said Mo’ein Mo’eini, the head of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company and a member of the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Sharif University of Technology.
He added that the engine used in the bicycle enjoys more power and higher torque compared to the foreign samples, noting that the high-power hydraulic brakes of the bike will ensure the safety of the bicycle at high speed and heavy braking.
