“We work in the field of producing basic materials of nanotechnology. 10 years of our research work resulted in the production of nanoplasma,” Kurosh Asgari, a participant in the Asreh Omid exhibition held by the Islamic Azad University (IAU) told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of the big scientific and technological event.

Asgari said their product (nanoplasma) is used in the production of organic agricultural products.

He added that after they used nanoplasmain different fields such as farms and different products, good results were achieved, including an increase in production, in plant resistance against pests, water and climatic tensions, and a reduction in the use of chemical fertilizers, poisons, as well as water consumption, etc.

He added that they are sponsored by the Islamic Azad University-Karaj branch in Alborz province and they have established their “Technological Core” named “Caspian Alborz” at that IAU branch.

He added that he has introduced nickel-cadmium batteries as their team’s another project at Asreh Omid exhibition and he is looking for sponsors and investor to achieve the goal of mass production of the batteries to meet domestic needs.

"This product is widely used in the military, oil, aviation, IT industries etc., and by producing these batteries in the country, we will save the country about $300 to 500 million annually,” Asgari highlighted.

The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
