Iranian Company Increases Production of Strawberry Employing New Technology
HosseinKazerouni, the managing director of the Seraj Nanotechnology Knowledge-Based Company based in the incubator of the Islamic Azad University- Roudhan branch told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of Asreh-Omid Exhibition that his company uses nanobubble technology to increase dissolved oxygen in water to improve metabolism which will result in increasing strawberry yields.
The researcher said they have installed four nanobubble devices in greenhouses in Hashtgerd in Alborz Province, highlighting that the nano technology has boosted strawberry yields between 15 and 20 percent. He added that the nanobubbles have also proved to be effective in strawberry quality parameters such as Brix index.
“Using nanobubble technology improves root health, balance absorption of nutrients and significant a reduction in harmful pathogens such as pythium,” Kazrouni also said.
He added that a scientific and research study has confirmed scientifically the issue of using NANOX generators in strawberry greenhouses.
“Now, in addition to manufacturing and meeting the demands of nanobubble generators for domestic hydroponic greenhouses, Seraj Nanotechnology Company has the experience of exporting NANOX devices to countries such as Belarus and Armenia,” Kazerouni said.
The national AsrehOmid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
