One of the problems that industries create is a large amount of wastewater they produce and they release into the environment. Given the severity of the problem, a knowledge-based company in Iran has prevented the spread of environmental pollution by producing a purifying material called Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC). This substance has the property of coagulating pollutants.

Polyaluminum chloride is a water purification material, an inorganic polymer coagulant, and a polymer with a relatively large molecular weight and a relatively high charge of inorganic polymer produced by the bridge action of hydroxyl ions and the polymerization of polyvalent anions.

This knowledge-based company in Iran has succeeded in producing powder and the solid type of polyaluminum chloride. Factories in Iran used to employ the liquid type of polyaluminum chloride which was imported into the country from overseas.

But nowadays, this knowledge-based company has produced a solid type of PAC through an exclusive formulation.

The material is capable of removing 80% of wastewater contaminants. Due to its compound, this material has the capablity to remove water and wastewater pollutants, including  turbidity and floating materials, organic and oily matter, various colors, dangerous metal ions, as well as BOD and COD up to more than 80%.

The capabilities of this new wastewater treatment method have made it possible to recycle water. Also, this material does not contain substances harmful to the environment. One of its other advantages is being highly economical.
