Iran-Made Ozone Generator Disinfects Slaughterhouses, Poultry Houses
The industrial ozone generators enjoy the capacity to produce 10 grams per hour to 40 kg per hour of ozone gas.
“This device is actually used for the purification and disinfection of various projects, and we have implemented over 500 executive projects across Iran in the field of water and sewage, livestock and poultry, slaughterhouses and chicken farms,” said Parisa Hemmati, the company's commercial technical expert.
“Ozone removes odor and color. Therefore, it finds different uses in various industries, for instance in slaughterhouses and livestock farms for washing and disinfecting metal equipment, purifying drinking water for livestock or purifying and disinfecting the air in halls, tankers or milking machines and so on,” she explained.
In a relevant development in August 2023, researchers of a knowledge-based company in Iran had also succeeded in building an ozone gas production device which can be used for purification of water and sewage and disinfection of dried fruits, etc.
“This device was produced with the aim of disinfecting the air and water through an advanced oxidation method to reduce the existing pollutants, and it is capable of eliminating pollutants like viruses, fungi, bacteria, algae, and protozoa like giardia lamblia and cryptosporidium organisms, and infectious diseases to improve the quality of drinking and agricultural water,” Shadi Aziziha, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
Noting that the device was made for the purpose of cleaning and decolorizing the wastewater in houses and various industries, she added, "Korona discharge technology was used in production of the device which produces the highest percentage of ozone. Also, the high frequency and high voltage system has been used in this device.”
“The ozone generator can be used in houses and different industries for various purposes, including disinfection of dried fruit, petrochemical industry, wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical industry, purification and disinfection of water, deodorization of the environment, sewage treatment plants and disinfection of the water used in the livestock and poultry farms, textile industries (dye removal and COD reduction), flour and bread industries, wheat disinfection and flour bleaching, fisheries industry, water disinfection and reduction of microbial load, air disinfection and sterilization of medical and treatment centers and agricultural industries,” Aziziha said.
