Iranian Researchers Produce Portable Multi-Functional Traction Device
Mir-Hossein Safari is a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering at the Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch (IAUN). He has designed and produced a portable multi- functional traction device in a 'Partak Teb' technology company which is run under his managment.
"This company started its official activity in 2019 with a portable multi-traction device in the field of physiotherapy. The main goal of the company is to produce high-quality products that can compete with foreign-made equivalents when it comes to quality," Safari added.
"Although this product (portable multi-traction device) has no equivalents abroad," he went on to say.
He added that the company has gone to complete its product portfolio which includes products that can meet almost all the needs of a hospital such as beds, stretchers, and trolleys, medicine cabinets etc.
"Two years before the company's started its operation, the expert and designer team were working on the idea and this product (portable multi-traction device) was able to get its official permit from the Food and Drug Organization and it was patented as an invention," Safari said.
He said that the traction device is for home use, adding that it is a very cost-effective solution for patients.
According to Safari, the portable multi-functional traction device is a product which has every feature that other different devices need to have.
He noted that the product is portable and it is very easy to use at home, office or large medical facilities, and its multi-functionality eliminates the user's need to buy several products at the same time.
