Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Produces Strong, Highly Resistant Adhesives
“In this company, we have produced antibacterial silicone glue, stone glue and nano-based wallpaper glue,” Mehdi Rahmani, the managing director of the knowledge-based company located in the growth center of technological units of the Islamic Azad University’s Roudehen branch, told ANA.
“These products do not have similar domestic counterparts. The antibacterial silicone glue has been exported to Armenia and Iraq in addition to its sale in the domestic market,” he added.
Rahmani explained that the wood adhesives with waterproof properties increase the strength of wooden structures and equipment, adding that in addition to high adhesion, the antibacterial silicone glue will prevent the growth of all kinds of microbes, viruses and fungi.
“The stone glue is also highly resistant and reduces the cost of the facade jobs and increases the speed of the work, and the wallpaper glue also enjoys high adhesion and resistance to moisture and doubles the lifespan of the wallpaper, and its uniform adhesion prevents the formation of bubbles on the surface,” he said.
Nano-fillers provide several advantages over traditional micro-reinforcements for adhesives; the presence of nanomaterials allows for thinner bonding lines and, as a result, a lesser danger of embrittlement inside bulk adhesive formulations, which can result in increased strength properties.
