Republic of Azerbaijan's Non-Oil Exports Increases over 16% in January-October

TEHRAN (ANA)- Export of non-oil products in Republic of Azerbaijan amounted to $2.385.99 billion in January-October of this year which shows 16.2 percent growth compared to the same period of last year.

Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) reported that in October of 2022, the country's non-oil export amounted to $269.15 million (10.5 percent growth), according to Azertac news agency.

Azerbaijan increased its non-oil exports by 47.2 percent in 2021 and amounted to $2.713.4 billion.

Earlier, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said that the production of goods in the country’s industrial zones increased by 41.5 percent and reached more than AZN2.1 billion ($1.2bln) in the first nine months of 2022.

Jabbarov noted that the export of those goods grew by 55.3 percent and equaled AZN846.1 million ($497.6mln).

Moreover, the minister added that the special share of industrial zones in the manufacturing of non-oil industrial products was 16.6 percent and 33.3 percent in export.

So far, the products worth over AZN8 billion ($4.7bln) have been manufactured in industrial zones, whilst the goods worth AZN2.6 billion ($1.5bln) have been exported, he added.

Azerbaijan has five industrial zones, with the primary goal of ensuring the long-term development of the non-oil sector, creating and expanding new production areas in the country through the use of innovative technologies, and expanding the export map of these products.
