Knowledge-Based Iranian Firm Manufactures Nano-Based Products to Clean Surfaces without Water, Detergent
‘Yavar Nanozist’ company is a technological unit stationed in the center of technological units of Islamic Azad University’s Yadegar Emam branch in Shahr-e Rey which has managed to manufacture the products.
“The city’s cleanness is highly important for the mental health of the citizens. These products can keep surfaces clean and without any dust with no water, detergent or any mechanical work. Considering the lack of water in Iran and the saving costs, the need to use such products is felt,” Sousan Samadi, a faculty member of the chemistry group of the Islamic Azad University’s Yadegar Emam branch, told ANA.
Elaborating on the specifications of the products, she said that car body nano ceramic product (TiSiNa-CBC) is a kind of liquid polymer that is poured on the car body and after combining with the car’s paint, it creates a hydrophobic layer on the outer surface of the car’s body paint which enjoys water-repellent properties. This feature protects the car body more against dust and keeps the appearance of the car shiny and clear.
Samadi added that car body hydrophobic product (TiSiNa-HCB), is another product of the company which creates a polysiloxane film and makes the car body hydrophobic and prevents water droplets from remaining on the body, noting that it prolongs the lifespan of the body, specially on rainy days because it prevents water and mud from remaining on the body.
Also, the nano-hydrophobic glass-eating product (TiSiNa-HCG) creates a polysiloxane film that prevents water droplets from remaining on the car glass and gives the driver better visibility on rainy days and greatly reduces the chance of an accident, she said.
Samadi also elaborated on the anti-grease product (TiSiNa-OP) of the company which makes the surface anti-grease by creating a thin film of titania and silica nanocomposite, adding that the product is highly proper for covering gas stoves and stove hoods.
TiSiNa-SC is also a self-cleaning, hydrophobic, titania-based clear product that has both hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties, she noted, adding that in this synthesis, transparent and crystalline sol is synthesized from titania which can be sprayed on various surfaces, including ceramics, bricks, and stones, and a transparent film is formed on the surfaces.
