Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Produces Welded Plate, Frame Heat Exchangers
“Fully welded plate heat exchanger's work is to transfer maximum heat with the least pressure reduction in the smallest space, and this is one of the most important advantages of the welded plate heat exchangers,” Reza Mehriari, the managing director of the Iranian knowledge-based company said in an interview with ANA reporter.
He added that fully welded plate heat exchanger is made of a series of corrugated metal plates welded by laser or argon arc welding.
“In 2022, we conducted a research project on this product, Then, we simulated thermal processes by molding, and finally produced this exchanger,” he said.
“This product is used in oil, gas and petrochemical fields, and when there is a possibility of fluid leakage or when the fluid temperature is high, using these exchangers is the best solution because washer converters cannot be used in such a situation,” the managing director of the knowledge-based company further explained.
“We have created a good market for this product. One of the most important reasons for the industry's embracing these exchangers with open arms is its price difference in comparison with foreign-made imported counterparts.” Mehriar also said.
He went on to say that their company has begun the mass production of the exchangers, adding, “For the production of these exchanger, we get steel plates from the foreign market, but we purchase other required parts such as screws, fillers, etc. from the domestic market (factories).”
