Almost 300 Technological Companies Participate at AbadIran Exhibition

TEHRAN (ANA)– The assistant to the Iranian Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy said that as many as 300 technological and knowledge-based companies have taken part at the 'AbadIran' or 'Developed Iran' exhibition.

"The national program 'AbadIran' was designed with the motto innovation for a developed Iran in the fourth term of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy," Hamidreza Shokri, the assistant to the Vice President said.

"This program is aimed at the progress and development of the country in the pursuit of 'resolving the challenges of impoverished and rural areas', 'creating sustainable jobs' and 'developing the value chain of local capabilities of under-developed areas by using the potential of knowledge-based, creative and technological companies and other elements of the innovation and technology ecosystem."

The official said that the second edition of Abadiran is being held during June 11-14 in Tehran's Mossalla (Grand Mosque) in five different divisions: housing and rural development infrastructure, agriculture, livestock farming and fisheries, health and rehabilitation, small businesses and soft and educational industries.
