Over 490 Knowledge-Based Companies in Iran Operate in Biotechnology, Agriculture Fields, Food Industries
"Biological fields play as one of the most important and influential roles in the economic prosperity of many countries. It is necessary to pay attention to it in Iran given the existence of natural potential and capabilities," said Helen Pourmazaheri, who is the CEO of an industrial company, in an interview with ANA.
She stated that today work and activity have taken a new form and are becoming more and more self-employed, adding, "Under such circumstances, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs play a key role in the process of economic development and progress in different countries."
The industrial activist further said that there are 497 knowledge-based companies in the fields of biotechnology, agriculture and food industries in Iran but a few of them are operating in the field of technology.
"Developing the innovative entrepreneurial culture, commercializing the research achievements and increasing the production of knowledge-based products in the field of biotechnology in order to provide specialized and general services should be strengthened, and accelerators have to be established to support start-up businesses," Pourmazaheri added.
"Enthusiasm and commitment, positive attitude to risk, professional ethics, flexibility, cooperation and effective communication, sustainability and staying updated are among the requirements of entrepreneurship in biosciences. This is while successful companies are already operating in this industry," the CEO of the industrial company further said.
