Iran-Made Smart Shades Unveiled
Meysam Gholampour, the head of the mechanical engineering faculty of the Islamic Azad University, Bushehr branch, said horizontal and shutter smart shades are equipped with sensitivity sensors.
Smart shades have a built-in timer that can be used to automate the opening and closing of your shades at specified times and days.
For any building, if we want to include it, first of all, its appearance should be in harmony with the architecture of the building, Gholampour explained.
The smart shade, which can also be movable, is inspired by the old fabric of Bushehr, he noted.
“The horizontal and shutter shades operate in summer and do not allow light to enter the building. In winter, the shutters are open and light enters the building naturally,” Gholampour went on to say.
Gholampour made the remarks on the sidelines of the Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event.
The event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 1, 2022.
It aimed to exhibit new achievements and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Azad University.
Some 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research centers, and startups took part in Asreh Omid Event.
Iran’s technological priorities have been specified within the framework of a plan, based on which the country's knowledge-based companies have been equipped.
The country has been experiencing a threefold growth of knowledge-based companies since the beginning of the current year (starting March 21, 2022), a report said.
