Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Produces Air Purifier Using Cold Plasma
“The focus of our research is cold plasma and we are trying to bring this technology into different industries,” Fereshte Sadat Tabatabaei Qomi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company said.
She said that the first industry that was selected for the introduction of the cold plasma technology was active in the field of health and treatment, adding, “We used cold plasma to produce air purifiers, which are currently certified by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.”
Tabatabaei Qomi considered household appliances and textiles as another target of the company to introduce the cold plasma technology to, saying, “Cold plasma is the fourth state of matter and it helps to preserve the environment.”
Accoring to her, to preserve the surrounding air quality, purification, disinfection and sterilization methods are employed. Air purifiers are air conditioners that exist in every home, while the disinfection device is at a level higher than air purifiers. Meanwhile, in air cleaner systems, only particles are absorbed.
“In sterilizing devices, airborne particles are destroyed. The cold plasma-based disinfectant device produced in this company does not have any consumables; rather, it has a chamber that sucks in the air and absorbs the particles in a process and destroys them. Then it sends safe and clean air out,” the managing director of the knowledge-based company concluded.
