Knowledge-Based Accelerator Empowers Iranian Newly-Founded Businesses
The knowledge-based accelerator ‘ARCUP’, affiliated to Islamic Azad University’s Orumiyeh branch, is one of the main accelerators mostly active in supporting innovation.
Accelerators are organizations that offer a range of support services and funding opportunities for startups.
It is worth to say that accelerators, as one of the main players in Iran’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, play an important role in the creation, growth and development of businesses, specially the newly-founded businesses.
The businesses cannot directly enter the market and compete with large companies. An accelerator provides the basic needs of those businesses and supports the newly-established businesses by the timely and adequate supply of capital, providing a place for the business, providing infrastructure, equipment and market network and most importantly, mentoring and advising them to enter the market and grow their businesses.
"Cooperation in holding the Reverse Pitch 1400 event and simultaneously holding the INOTEX event as the most prestigious entrepreneurship and innovation event in Iran for the first time, laying the groundwork for more than 15 investors to enter East Azerbaijan province, signing cooperation agreements with universities and the organizations in the province, forming the first consortium of accelerators in Northwest of Iran, holding five specialized training courses with a practical view of mobile phones are among the activities of this accelerator," Salar Faridpour, a Ph.D. in entrepreneurship and founder and the managing director of ‘ARCUP’ accelerator, told ANA.
“The accelerator is also active in the field of commercialization, investment, development, training and empowerment of newly established businesses,” he added.
