Iranian Professor Underlines Agriculture Boom with Help of Organic Fertilizers
“For several years, in order to commercialize and improve quality, I have been working outside the university on various types of excellent chemical fertilizers that cannot be produced inside the country," Ali Khanmirzaei, a professor of the Islamic Azad University (IAU)-Karaj branch told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of Asreh Omid exhibition.
“I told myself that by attending the IAU Asreh Omid exhibition we can include the IAU University in the organic fertilizers project and use the university's facilities and capacity, through which the university will also benefit economically and would contribute to the country’s economic prosperity more than before," he went on to say.
"Many agricultural fertilizers are imported while the related technical knowledge exists in the country waiting for investment," Khanmirzaei said.
“Eight years ago, the plan to produce phosphate fertilizers in Alborz province was awarded as the province's successful plan by the Resistance Economy Headquarters," he continued.
He expressed hope that taking part at the IAU exhibition will help him to attract investment.
"There are various laboratories and devices in the university, but a large part of this capacity have remained idle and are not used and we do not employ the capacity of these laboratories to produce wealth," Khanmirzaei said.
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
