Iran Inaugurates New Hot Rolled Steel Plate Factory in Ahvaz
The work to establish the 360,000-tons capacity hot rolled steel plate by the name of Atiye Middle East Steel started in 2020 with an investment of approximately $83 million.
Situated in Ahvaz, the capital of the Southwestern Iranian Khuzestan Province, the factory has a production capacity of 600,000 tons.
The project received cooperation and participation from the provincial department of industry, mining, and trade of Khuzestan.
The factory specializes in producing hot-rolled steel plates in different sizes from size 8 to 100 and with a width of 1800 mm, and different types of construction sheets such as St52 and St37, and sheets under ASTM, API and A516 standards, as well as low alloy steel plates.
The factory has created jobs for over 500 local youth in Khuzestan province.
The plant has been implemented with an investment of more than 3,500 billion tomans (almost 70 million dollars.)
