Turkiye's Monthly Car Sales Hit All-Time High in February
Sales reached 105,990 cars last month, up 30.6 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reported the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association, which comprises 31 members representing 52 international brands.
Over 8,400 cars with Chinese brands were sold in February, reflecting a growing interest among Turkish consumers, the report also displayed.
Since the beginning of this year, SUVs have been the most preferred type by Turks, with nearly 50 percent of sales, followed by sedans and hatchbacks, according to the report.
Gasoline vehicles accounted for about 70 percent of sales, while fully electric cars accounted for 6.7 percent.
Turkiye's total automobile and light commercial vehicle market grew by 57.4 percent in 2023, exceeding 1.2 million sales.
